Description
Wool muslin in the colour wool white is a lightweight fabric made of 100% virgin wool by the metre. The light natural shade looks soft, calm and natural without appearing hard or pure white. Wool muslin ( in wool white 180g ) is particularly suitable for fine garments such as veils, hoods, headscarves, turbans, undergarments, light tunics and shawls. The fabric is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 180 g/mtr.
With its light weight, this wool muslin lies between very delicate veil fabrics and stronger wool qualities. It falls softly, remains pleasantly flexible and is particularly suitable when a woolen fabric should look fine, but not quite as transparent as very light muslin. The plain weave gives the fabric a simple, calm surface that goes well with historical clothing and natural fabric combinations.
Wool Muslin Wool White 180g: Use and Combination
The wool muslin is well suited for veils, hoods and headscarves. This fabric can also be suitable for turbans, undergarments, light tunics, blouses, shawls, lining layers, fine historical clothing, LARP and reenactment . Especially with light-coloured headgear, undergarments and light intermediate layers, off-white comes into its own because the colour remains simple and does not push itself into the foreground.
Wool muslin made from virgin wool can be comfortable to wear because wool can absorb moisture and, depending on the layering, has both a light and warming effect. This makes the fabric well suited for garments that should not be stiff or heavy. In the case of light-coloured fabrics, depending on the cut, number of layers and processing, it should be borne in mind that off-white can appear slightly translucent.
The colour off-white can be combined very well with wool, loden, linen and other natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with natural linen, cream white, grey, brown, dark brown, black, Moselle green, midnight blue, burgundy red or golden yellow. As a light natural tone, wool white is suitable for visible light garments as well as for calm lower and intermediate layers.
