Description
Diagonal twill Serge in natural white is a wool fabric made of 100% virgin wool by the metre in a light, natural shade of white. Natural white looks simple, calm and easy to combine – especially suitable for underwear/outerwear, light-coloured garments or as a contrast to stronger woollen fabrics.
The fabric is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 290 g/running meter. Due to the twill weave, the fabric has a diagonal structure and appears more flexible than a smooth plain fabric. This weave is also known as serge or denim weave and provides a comfortable fabric with more mobility.
Due to the lighter to medium weight, this fabric is well suited for warm underwear, light outerwear, tunics, jackets, tighter garments, historical garments, LARP and reenactment. It is a good choice if you are looking for a wool fabric that looks natural, falls comfortably and is not too heavy.
The colour natural white can be combined well with linen, wool, loden and natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with brown, grey, black, dark green, blue, red or mottled woollen fabrics. Due to the material and weave, this fabric is versatile and particularly suitable if a garment is to have a discreet structure.
