About TuchundStoff: We love good fabrics
TuchundStoff stands for high-quality natural fabrics, wool fabrics, broadcloth, loden, linen, fibre blends and uniform fabrics. Our fabrics come from renowned weaving mills that we know personally and whose quality we trust.
We source and produce in Germany and neighbouring European countries such as England, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Austria. This keeps many transport routes short and transparent. With only a few clearly marked exceptions, our fabrics are made from natural fibres.
Whether contemporary fashion, Living History, Re-Enactment, LARP, carnival, traditional dress, historical clothing, costume or uniform: we are happy to help you choose the right fabric with experience, style and practical advice.
Natural fabrics with a source
We pay attention to weaving mills, qualities and materials that suit demanding textile projects.
Advice from experience
Many projects need more than a beautiful colour: weight, drape, touch, period, use and care must work together.
For historical dress and tailoring
Our range is aimed at historical clothing, reenactment, LARP, tailoring, uniforms and creative fabric projects.
Lucia Hohl and TuchundStoff

Expert advice for good fabrics
Lucia Hohl combines experience with fabrics, a trained eye for material and colour, and direct exchange with customers, weaving mills and event organisers.
The focus is always on the question of which fabric truly fits the project: period, character, purpose, processing, feel and expectations.

With heart, humour and a love of fabric
TuchundStoff is a specialist fabric shop, but also a very personal project. It includes advice, markets, customer conversations, warehouse sales, fabric samples and sometimes a little four-legged support.
Our company history
The story of TuchundStoff is closely connected with people who passed on their knowledge, experience and passion for weaving, wool processing, broadcloth and good fabrics.
Show remembrance of Harald Matthias Hohl

Harald Matthias Hohl (*1957 †2024)
Co-founder Harald Matthias Hohl originally came from the music industry. He soon immersed himself in wool processing, from sheep to finished cloth. This knowledge was an important part of building TuchundStoff together with Lucia Hohl.
His conversations with customers, his advice and his exchange with weaving mills still resonate today. He asked what was possible, gave trusted advice and left behind a webshop and company that continue his passion for good cloth.
During his time as a musician, Harald organised large concerts, played with well-known people and founded the Musikkooperative in Frankfurt in 1977. Lucia Hohl remembers a man who quietly achieved a great deal.
Show remembrance of Johannes “Hans” Widmann

Johannes Widmann (*1939 †2018)
Johannes “Hans” Widmann was a trained spinner, cloth weaver and designer. Until his retirement, he was chief textile designer at Hoechst AG in Frankfurt am Main. His expertise and contacts became the foundation for his later independence.
In Eddersheim near Frankfurt he ran a business with a weaving workshop, weaving school and textile trade. His daughter Lucia helped him with weaving as a child and later with sales. Harald soon brought his own passion for good cloth into the business.
For many years they set up their stalls at medieval markets and gained many loyal customers.
