Description
Cloth loden in the colour bark mottled is a heavy wool fabric made of 100% virgin wool by the metre. The mottled brown shade looks natural, earthy and calm, with a surface that appears more vibrant than a completely monochrome fabric. As Tuchloden Bark Heather Serge 680g, this fabric brings a lot of substance for coats, capes, uniform parts, blankets and robust furnishing projects. It is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 680 g/mtr.
Due to its high weight, this cloth loden is significantly stronger than the lighter wool fabrics with 480 g/m or 580 g/m. The serge weave gives the fabric a firm, resilient effect and makes it particularly interesting for projects that need stability, warmth and durability. Bark mottled goes well with historical garments, rustic outerwear and natural combinations with linen, wool and loden.
Tuchloden Bark Mottled Serge 680g: Uses and Combinations
The wool fabric is well suited for uniforms, coats and capes. This heavy cloth loden can also be suitable for blankets, seat covers, living basket covers, jackets, caps, collars, doublets, robust outerwear, LARP, reenactment and historical garments . The mottled bark colour comes into its own especially in larger areas, because it looks calm and still has depth.
The wool is breathable, windproof and dirt- and water-repellent. This makes the fabric well suited for garment parts and projects that not only look beautiful, but are also practical to use. This is particularly interesting for coats, capes, blankets or covers, because the fabric appears strong, warming and weatherproof without being described as waterproof.
The colour bark mottled can be combined very well with wool, loden, linen and other natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with off-white, natural linen, creamy white, black, grey, dark brown, olive green, fir green, rust red, honey mustard or muted blue tones. As a mottled brown tone, bark mottled is suitable for both calm main clothing and robust combinations with lighter or stronger fabrics.
