Description
Wool muslin in the colour black is a lightweight fabric made of 100% virgin wool by the metre. The dark shade looks clear, calm and contrasting, without appearing restless due to pattern or structure. Wool muslin ( in black 180g ) is particularly suitable for fine garments such as veils, hoods, headscarves, turbans, underdresses, light tunics and shawls. The fabric is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 180 g/mtr.
With its light weight, this wool muslin falls softly and agilely, but remains a little more grippy than very delicate muslin qualities. The plain weave provides a simple, calm surface that goes well with historical clothing, LARP, reenactment and natural fabric combinations. In black, the fabric is particularly suitable for clear lines, dark layers, headgear or fine contrasts with lighter fabrics.
Wool Muslin Black 180g: Uses and Combinations
The wool muslin is well suited for veils, hoods and headscarves. This fabric can also be suitable for turbans, undergarments, light tunics, blouses, shawls, lining layers, fine historical clothing, LARP and reenactment . Black comes into its own especially with dark headgear, light intermediate layers and simple garment parts, because the shade looks calm and can clearly highlight other colours.
Wool muslin made from virgin wool can be comfortable to wear because wool can absorb moisture and, depending on the layering, has both a light and warming effect. This makes the fabric well suited for garments that should not be stiff or heavy. For very fine cuts, depending on the number of layers and processing, it should be borne in mind that even dark muslin can look light and have some translucency.
The colour black can be combined very well with wool, loden, linen and other natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with off-white, natural linen, cream white, grey, burgundy, crimson, golden yellow, royal blue, indigo blue or muted green tones. As a dark basic tone, black is suitable for visible light garments as well as for calm lower and intermediate layers.
