Description
Wool muslin in the colour burgundy red is a lightweight fabric made of 100% virgin wool by the metre. The dark red tone looks warm, noble and strong, without appearing too garish. Wool muslin ( in burgundy red 180g ) is particularly suitable for fine garments such as bonnets, headscarves, veils, turbans, underdresses, light tunics and shawls. The fabric is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 180 g/mtr.
Due to its low weight, this wool muslin falls much softer and finer than strong cloth or loden. The plain weave provides a simple, calm surface that can be processed in a variety of ways. Burgundy red brings depth and warmth to light garments and is particularly suitable when a fabric is to appear colourful, calm and yet expressive.
Wool Muslin Burgundy Red 180g: Uses and Combinations
The wool muslin is well suited for hoods, headscarves and veils. This fabric can also be suitable for turbans, undergarments, light tunics, blouses, shawls, lining layers, fine historical clothing, LARP and reenactment . Especially with headgear, veils and light under- or intermediate layers, the fine drape comes into its own.
Wool muslin made from virgin wool can be comfortable to wear because wool can absorb moisture and, depending on the layering, has both a light and warming effect. This makes the fabric suitable for garments that should not be stiff or heavy. This is particularly practical for fine clothing, because the fabric looks more delicate than cloth or loden, but is still made of wool.
The colour burgundy red can be combined very well with wool, loden, linen and other natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with wool white, natural linen, cream white, grey, black, dark brown, golden yellow, night blue or muted green tones. As a dark shade of red, burgundy is suitable for visible light garments as well as for colourful accents with calmer outer fabrics.
