Description

Wool mix with silk in the colour golden yellow is a lighter fabric by the metre in a warm, bright yellow tone. Golden yellow looks friendly, bright and eye-catching without appearing too harsh. The colour goes particularly well with fine garments, light dresses, tunics, shawls and historical sewing projects with a warm colour effect.

The fabric consists of 50% wool, 40% viscose and 10% silk, is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 260 g/m or 173 g/m². The blend of wool, viscose and silk makes the fabric look finer and softer than many robust wool fabrics. It falls easily, lies comfortably on the skin and is therefore particularly suitable when a garment should look comfortable, flexible and a little more noble.

Wool mix with silk golden yellow: use and combination

Due to its light weight, this wool mix is well suited for dresses, underdresses and light overdresses. The fabric can also be suitable for tunics, linings, shawls, veils, strappy dresses, fine garments and historical clothing . The plain weave provides a simple, calm surface that can be used in a variety of ways.

The colour golden yellow can be combined well with linen, wool, loden and natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with off-white, natural linen, brown, dark brown, grey, black, rust red or muted green tones. This makes the fabric suitable for light, warm individual pieces as well as for combinations with thicker outer fabrics.

The fabric is a good choice if you want a project to look light, pleasant and high-quality. Due to the material mixture, it is very interesting for historical garments, LARP, reenactment, fine undergarments, light tunics and lining layers. Golden yellow has a warm, visible colour effect and can be particularly effective with trimmings, shawls or light overdresses.
