Description
Shawl in the colour Aubergine Bordeaux is a medium-weight wool fabric made of 100% virgin wool by the metre. The dark berry tone combines warm Bordeaux with a violet aubergine note and looks strong, deep and noble without appearing garish. As a cloth ( Aubergine Bordeaux 480g ), the fabric has enough substance for trousers, tunics, jackets and light capes. It is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 480 g/mtr.
Due to the medium weight, this cloth is stronger than light woollen fabrics, but remains more flexible than a heavy coat fabric. It works well for clothes that need to have some grip without being too heavy. For tunics, tabards, trimmings or light capes, the scarf is a nice choice if you are looking for a dark, warm shade with a natural wool effect.
Cloth Aubergine Bordeaux 480g: use and combination
The wool fabric is well suited for trousers, warm tunics and tabards. This shawl can also be suitable for light capes, uniform parts, jackets, cowls, cottes, cappa, collars, doublets, trimmings, LARP, reenactment and historical garments . Aubergine Bordeaux comes into its own especially with tunics, jackets and coloured trimmings, because the colour brings depth and still remains easy to combine.
The wool is breathable, windproof and dirt- and water-repellent. This makes the fabric well suited for garment parts that not only look beautiful, but are also practical to use. This is particularly interesting for trousers, tunics, light capes or jackets because the fabric looks robust, but is not as heavy as a dense coat loden.
The colour Aubergine Bordeaux can be combined very well with wool, loden, linen and other natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with off-white, natural linen, creamy white, grey, black, dark brown, golden yellow, olive green or muted blue tones. As a dark berry tone, aubergine bordeaux is suitable for eye-catching main clothing as well as trimmings and contrasting combinations.
