Description
Shawl in the colour bog oak brown is a medium-weight wool fabric made of 100% virgin wool by the metre. The dark brown tone looks calm, earthy and natural without appearing hard or black. Bog-rich brown goes particularly well with simple garments, trousers, jackets, warm tunics and historical clothing with a dark, natural colour effect. As a cloth ( bog oak brown 480g ), the fabric has enough substance for trousers, tunics, jackets and light capes. It is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 480 g/mtr.
Due to the medium weight, this cloth is stronger than light woollen fabrics, but remains more flexible than a heavy coat fabric. It works well for clothes that need to have some grip without being too heavy. The dark brown tone makes garments look calm, down-to-earth and easy to combine, especially together with linen, off-white, muted green tones or warm rust and yellow tones.
Cloth Bog Oak Brown 480g: Uses and Combinations
The wool fabric is well suited for trousers, warm tunics and tabards. This shawl can also be suitable for light capes, uniform parts, jackets, cowls, cottes, cappa, collars, doublets, trimmings, LARP, reenactment and historical garments . Especially in trousers, jackets and simple outer garments, bog oak brown comes into its own because the shade looks dark and yet remains natural.
The wool is breathable, windproof and dirt- and water-repellent. This makes the fabric well suited for garment parts that not only look beautiful, but are also practical to use. This is particularly interesting for trousers, tunics, light capes or jackets because the fabric looks robust, but is not as heavy as a dense coat loden.
The colour bog oak brown can be combined very well with wool, loden, linen and other natural tones. It looks particularly beautiful together with off-white, natural linen, creamy white, grey, black, olive green, fir green, rust red, golden yellow or muted blue tones. As a dark shade of brown, bog oak brown is suitable for calm main clothing as well as for trimmings and natural combinations with lighter fabrics.
