Description
Cavalry twill in the color black is a solid twill fabric or jersey worsted yarn by the meter. The fabric consists of 45% WV and 55% PES, is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 520 g/m and 346 g/m² respectively.
The clear black looks calm, strong and can be combined in a very versatile way. The colour goes particularly well with uniform pieces, trousers, jackets and historically inspired sewing projects where a firm, clean-looking fabric in a simple and contrasting colour is sought.
The twill structure makes the fabric look classic, smooth and resilient. Cavalry Twill is particularly suitable when a garment needs to have some stability, but still needs to remain wearable. The surface looks calmer and neater than many coarser wool fabrics and therefore goes well with clear cuts, uniform parts and neatly crafted details.

This fabric is particularly suitable for uniform parts, trousers and jackets. Cavalry Twill can also be a suitable choice for historical garments, reenactment, LARP, costume projects, trimmings and solid outerwear . The weight of 520 g/m makes the fabric look more stable than lightweight clothing fabrics and is well suited for projects that need more grip and support.
The colour black can be combined very well with off-white, white, grey, royal blue, olive green, red, golden yellow, silver or natural tones. Black can be particularly effective for uniform parts, jackets, trousers and trimmings. It is suitable both as a main color and as a calm contrast to bolder fabrics.

| Care instructions | Wool blends should be handled gently. The fabric can be aired out well in the fresh air and therefore rarely needs to be washed. Depending on the processing, a very gentle cold wash without spinning can be possible. If you want to be on the safe side, take it to the dry cleaners. |
