Description
Cavalry twill in the color royal blue is a solid twill fabric or jersey worsted yarn by the meter. The fabric consists of 45% WV and 55% PES, is 150 cm wide and has a weight of 520 g/m and 346 g/m² respectively.
The strong royal blue looks clear, neat and eye-catching without being restless. The colour goes particularly well with uniform pieces, trousers, jackets and historical or historically inspired sewing projects where a clean, firm and colourful fabric is sought.
The twill structure makes the fabric look classic, smooth and resilient. Cavalry Twill is particularly suitable when a garment needs to have a firm footing, but still remain wearable. The surface looks calmer and neater than many coarser wool fabrics and therefore goes well with clear cuts, uniform parts and neatly crafted details.

Cavalry Twill can also be a suitable choice for historical garments, reenactment, LARP, costume projects, trimmings and solid outerwear . The weight of 520 g/m makes the fabric look more stable than lightweight clothing fabrics and is well suited for projects that need a little more grip and support.
The colour royal blue can be combined well with black, white, off-white, grey, dark blue, silver, golden yellow or red. Especially for uniform parts, jackets, trousers and trimmings, the clear blue tone can be very effective. For simple combinations, royal blue also goes well with neutral wool fabrics, linen or darker outer fabrics.

| Care instructions | Wool blends should be handled gently. The fabric can be aired out well in the fresh air and therefore rarely needs to be washed. Depending on the processing, a very gentle cold wash without spinning can be possible. If you want to be on the safe side, take it to the dry cleaners. |
